Dry needling is a minimally invasive procedure in which a thin solid sterile filament needle is inserted into the skin and muscle at a myofascial trigger point. A trigger point or "knot" is a hyperirritable spot in skeletal muscle that is painful upon compression, stretch, overload or contraction. Dry needling can help with pain, muscle tension and promote healing. It can be used to treat muscle strains, tendonitis, carpal tunnel, and headaches.

One of our PT staff members has been trained in dry needling through Myopain Seminars. After evaluation, your physical therapist will determine whether dry needling would benefit your symptoms and would then discuss a treatment plan.

"I tried the dry needling to relieve shoulder pain. I was amazed how effective the treatment worked after the first treatment. Very effective!" - Judy Grossnickle
