Full Time Radiology Tech

We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated Radiologic Technologist to join our team. This is a full-time position in our busy orthopaedic clinic, with no surgery, no fluoroscopy, no nights, no weekends, no holidays, and no on-call hours.  The radiologic technologist will be responsible for the following :

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Operates radiology equipment to produce radiograph x-rays for diagnostic purposes
  • Positions and instructs patients on the imaging procedure being performed
  • Moves x-ray equipment into specified position and adjusts equipment controls to set exposure factors
  • Protects patients from unnecessary radiation and performs all exams following ALARA
  • Prepares and cleans patient exam rooms
  • Helps answer phone and computer messages
  • Filing and returning x-rays and any other tasks as assigned by Radiology Manager
  • Will assist in the DME (Durable Medical Equipment/bracing) department as needed. Tasks include but are not limited to measuring and fitting for off-the-shelf braces (slings, CAM walkers, wrist splints, knee braces etc.), provide patient education on each product including the use of, purpose for, and how to clean the prescribed item, help order and manage inventory, and any other tasks as assigned by the DME & Radiology Manager.
  • Any other tasks assigned by Radiology Manager
Qualifications:
  • Graduate or soon to be graduate of an accredited school of Radiology
  • Certification/Registry: Registered and in good standing with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or ASRT Registry Eligible (must obtain within 30 days of hire)
  • License: Kansas Radiologic Technologist License
  • BLS Certification
Schedule:
  • Monday through Thursday 7:45 am – 5 pm
  • Friday 6:45 am – 1 pm
